About Eduard Kovynev
Eduard Kovynev is a financial expert in Canton, GA, with nearly ten years of experience. Eduard Kovynev started his career as a team leader and eventual operations manager with Chick-Fil-A from 2007 to 2013, where he coordinated night shifts by positioning team members, reconciling receipts with reports, and accounted for opening and closing the store. He was responsible for counting the cash registers to make sure they were balanced, and within two years, he was promoted to management. Eduard assisted in the construction of his store in 2008, and under his management, the store grew from $3.6 million to $5.3 million in five years. His store successfully became the highest-volume store in Georgia while Eduard was in his management position, and he maintained labor, food, and paper cost in the top 20% of all stores.
While working at Chick-Fil-A, Eduard Kovynev was pursuing his higher education at Kennesaw State University’s Coles College of Business. He graduated in 2013 with his Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration and Accounting and a minor in Finance. As a student, Eduard tutored his peers in accounting and finance and ended up on the President’s List for five consecutive terms.
Upon graduation, Eduard Kovynev sought out a career in his field of study and came across Vallen Distribution. Starting as an Accounts Payable Specialist in 2014, Eduard matched and processed vendor invoices for payment and handled all vendor inquiries and issues. He worked in a high-paced environment with monthly quotas to reach, issued non-conformances, researched payment history, and worked within the field daily. He was eventually promoted to Business Analyst, where Eduard validated that average costs, vendor invoice costs, and ship order costs were all correct. He assisted with credit and rebills, returns, and adjustments while accounting for rebates, quantity discounts, special pricing agreements, and more.
Eduard Kovynev was promoted once more while with Vallen Distribution, becoming an Inventory Accountant with the company. He managed, tracked, and had financial oversight of the entire accounting process for rebates and marketing accounts, identified inefficiencies and redundancies, had daily correspondence with the CMO, CFO, and Product Management, and much more. During this time, Eduard was awarded Employee of the Year in 2019.
Most recently, Eduard Kovynev was an accountant with Innovative Chemical Technologies. While with the company, Eduard handled customer invoicing, collections, credit card processing, pay in advance management, past due statements, and much more. He prepared weekly cash reports, bank reconciliations and handled new customer set-up while acting as backup for payroll processing, accounts payable, and commission reports.
Eduard Kovynev takes part in many hobbies outside of his professional life. He enjoys puzzles, board games, card games, kayaking, camping, and more. He has played the piano for over ten years and still enjoys it to this day. Eduard’s personal philosophy in life is to question everything; he believes that everyone ends up where they are in life due to the decisions they make.
